A Chinese national was arrested after authorities seized more than Php 5 million worth of suspected smuggled motorcycle parts during a law enforcement operation in Valenzuela City.
Operatives of the Philippine National Police–Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) Eastern District Field Unit conducted the operation at 1174 Marcos Street, Barangay Malinta, Valenzuela City.
The operation resulted in the arrest of the foreign national and the confiscation of assorted motorcycle parts suspected to have been illegally imported into the country.
Authorities estimated the value of the seized items at more than Php 5 million.
The confiscated motorcycle parts are subject to further verification to determine their origin and whether they were brought into the country in violation of customs and importation regulations.
The identity of the arrested Chinese national and the specific circumstances surrounding the operation were not immediately disclosed.
