Central Luzon formally inducted rookie police officers during a ceremony at Camp Captain Julian Olivas in San Fernando City on Wednesday.
Police Regional Office 3 said the new patrolmen and patrolwomen took their oath and officially joined the Philippine National Police.
Out of thousands who applied to become police officers in Central Luzon, only a fraction successfully completed the stringent recruitment process, which included thorough screening, medical and psychological evaluations, and background validation.
The recruits filled both attrition quota slots and regular quota slots in the police force.
Their entry is expected to boost police manpower, improve the police-to-population ratio, and strengthen police visibility and operational readiness in the region.
Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones, PRO3 director, reminded the recruits that police service is a duty grounded in accountability and public trust.
“Police service is not just employment—it is a commitment, a responsibility, and a calling,” he said.
The ceremony highlighted the PNP’s ongoing efforts to recruit qualified personnel and maintain public safety in Central Luzon.
Newly inducted officers will undergo further training and orientation before full deployment in their respective assignments.
The PRO3 reaffirmed its commitment to professional and disciplined service as these rookies join the ranks of law enforcement.
