Palawan Group of Companies and JRS Express have partnered to roll out QR Ph payment services across JRS Express branches nationwide, expanding access to fast, secure, and convenient cashless transactions for millions of Filipinos.

The collaboration allows customers to use QR Ph at JRS Express outlets to pay bills and complete other financial transactions while dropping off or picking up parcels.

By integrating financial services into familiar courier locations, the partnership transforms JRS branches into digital payment touchpoints—particularly in provincial areas and key logistics hubs where access to financial infrastructure may be limited.

The initiative is reinforced by the Palawan Group’s expansive footprint of more than 3,500 Palawan Pawnshop–Palawan Express Pera Padala branches across the country, alongside the growing reach of its e-wallet platform, PalawanPay, which now serves over 23 million users.

Lisa Castro-Sabado shared how the Palawan Group and JRS Express are strengthening financial inclusion by integrating QR Ph services across JRS branches nationwide, advancing a  proudly Filipino initiative.

Together, these networks significantly widen the ecosystem for QR Ph transactions and help bring the benefits of digital finance to grassroots communities.

“This partnership marks a significant step in strengthening the Palawan Group’s commitment to financial inclusion. By integrating QR Ph into JRS Express branches, we are making everyday financial transactions more accessible, efficient, and convenient, especially for customers in provinces and logistics centers. What makes this alliance even more meaningful is that both the Palawan Group and JRS Express are 100% Filipino-owned. Tunay na gawang Pilipino, para sa serbisyong Pilipino,” said Palawan Group Chief Business Development Officer Lisa Castro-Sabado.\

Beyond convenience, both companies see the move as a strategic response to the country’s accelerating shift toward digital payments. For SMEs, online sellers, and frequent courier users, the ability to manage shipments and financial transactions in a single visit streamlines operations and saves valuable time.

With over six decades of industry experience, JRS Express continues to evolve beyond logistics, positioning its nationwide branches as accessible hubs for essential services. Vice President John Paul Claparols described the agreement as a long-term alliance designed to unlock further synergies.

“This agreement is an important milestone, but we see it as only the beginning. As the partnership grows, we look forward to exploring how JRS Express can also support Palawan Group’s logistics and distribution requirements. Our focus is not only on what we can accomplish today, but on what we can build together in the years ahead. This marks the start of a long-term collaboration between two Filipino-owned companies serving Filipinos nationwide,” Claparols said.

The contract signing marked the partnership between Palawan Group and JRS Express, combining financial and logistics services to help SMEs, online sellers, and courier users manage transactions more efficiently.

For PalawanPay, the expansion strengthens its mission to meet customers where they already transact. “By enabling QR Ph payments at JRS Express branches, we are meeting customers where they already are and making transactions faster, easier, and more seamless.

This partnership delivers meaningful value for SMEs, online sellers, and individuals who regularly use courier services. Integrating logistics and financial services enhances efficiency and strengthens readiness for a digital economy,” said PalawanPay President and CEO Third Librea.

By combining the scale and trust of a leading financial services group with the nationwide reach of a long-established courier network, the partnership underscores a shared vision: bringing practical, everyday digital solutions closer to Filipino households and enterprises.

For customers, the result is simple—fewer lines, fewer stops, and faster transactions. To experience the convenience, customers may visit any Palawan Pawnshop–Palawan Express Pera Padala branch nationwide or download the PalawanPay app.
