Anti-illegal drug operations across Calabarzon resulted in the arrest of 39 suspected drug personalities and the seizure of more than ₱2.7 million worth of illegal drugs within a 24-hour period, police said Monday.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) said the operations were conducted from 6 a.m. on Feb. 7 to 6 a.m. on Feb. 8 as part of its intensified nationwide campaign against illegal drugs.
Authorities reported that 28 separate operations were carried out across the region, yielding nearly 400 grams of suspected shabu and close to nine grams of marijuana.
Of those arrested, seven were identified as high-value individuals, while 32 were categorized as street-level suspects, which police said underscored efforts to target both small-scale pushers and higher-level drug personalities.
Batangas recorded the highest number of arrests with 17 suspects, followed by Cavite with 13, Rizal with five, and Quezon and Laguna with two arrests each.
The PNP said the results reflected the implementation of its Focused Agenda, particularly the Enhanced Managing Police Operations framework, which prioritizes operational planning, coordination, and adherence to procedures.
Police officials said the strategy aimed to ensure disciplined execution of operations while maximizing intelligence-led actions on the ground.
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the outcome demonstrated how coordinated efforts translated into tangible results, adding that sustaining peace and order required cooperation among police units and the wider community.
