CAGAYAN’S No. 1 most wanted person was arrested in Makati City on November 4, 2026, following years of evading authorities over three rape cases.
The 49-year-old suspect, identified by the alias “Adiong” and a resident of Lasam, Cagayan, was apprehended in Barangay Pio del Pilar, Makati City, by virtue of three warrants of arrest for rape, with no bail recommended in each case.
The operation was conducted by the Manhunt Charlie Tracker Team of the Santa Praxedes Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Lasam Municipal Police Station, and Makati City Police. Authorities also cited intelligence gathering, continuous monitoring, and coordination with the Sta. Maria Municipal Police Station in Laguna as key factors in locating the suspect.
PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for their dedication and persistence in tracking down wanted individuals, emphasizing that the police will continue to pursue suspects regardless of how long they evade arrest or where they seek refuge.
He stressed that the arrest demonstrates the PNP’s commitment to strengthening intelligence-driven operations and ensuring that individuals facing serious criminal charges are brought before the law.
The successful operation supports the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which aims to improve law enforcement efforts through effective coordination and targeted manhunt operations.
