BAGUIO CITY — The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) honored 15 institutional partners in North Luzon for helping advance financial education, inclusion and integrity during the 2026 Outstanding BSP Stakeholders Appreciation Ceremony (OBSAC) at the Baguio Country Club on Thursday, July 30.
The recognition highlighted the role of banks and government agencies in supporting the central bank’s mandates and building public confidence in the financial system.
In his keynote message, BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr. underscored the honorees’ contributions.
“The BSP recognizes 15 partners for their strong commitment to financial integrity, inclusion, and sustainability. Through their vigilance, insights, and partnership with the BSP, they have helped strengthen public trust in our financial system,” Remolona said.
BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, who chairs the Committee on Outstanding BSP Stakeholders, emphasized that partnerships are essential to the central bank’s work.
“At the Bangko Sentral, we know that no milestone is achieved alone. Every accomplishment is made possible by partners who share our commitment to serving the Filipino people,” she said.
Eleven honorees were BSP-supervised financial institutions:
- Land Bank of the Philippines — Batac Branch;
- Land Bank of the Philippines — Dagupan Branch;
- Land Bank of the Philippines — San Fernando, La Union Branch;
- Land Bank of the Philippines — Tuguegarao Capitol Branch;
- Land Bank of the Philippines — Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija Branch;
- Land Bank of the Philippines — San Fernando, Pampanga Cash Operations Unit;
- Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company — Dagupan Branch;
- Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company — La Union Branch Cash Management Services Unit;
- BDO Unibank Inc. — Tuguegarao Cash Hub;
- Ilocos Consolidated Cooperative Bank; and
- Producers Savings Bank Corporation.
Four Department of Trade and Industry offices were also recognized: the Abra Provincial Office, Region III, the Bulacan Provincial Office and Region II.
Since 2004, OBSAC has recognized institutions that have made significant contributions to advancing the BSP’s mandates and advocacies.
The central bank will also honor outstanding partners from Greater Manila, South Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao this year.
