The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is raising the alarm over the spread of fraudulent documents falsely bearing its name, logo, and even forged signatures of its officials.

In an advisory released Tuesday, the central bank warned that these fake documents are being used to mislead the public, tricking unsuspecting recipients into revealing personal details or giving away money.

“The BSP urges everyone to stay alert and verify the authenticity of any document or communication, especially those related to financial transactions,” the advisory stressed.

The central bank reminded the public that it does not authorize individuals or groups to solicit money, investments, or sensitive information on its behalf.

Anyone who encounters suspicious documents or notices possible scams is encouraged to immediately report them to the BSP Consumer Protection and Market Conduct Office through (+632) 8811-1277 or 8811-1BSP, or via email at bspmail@bsp.gov.ph.
