The average yield on the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) 28-day securities eased on Friday, reflecting sustained investor appetite even as the central bank increased the size of its weekly auction.
Data released by the BSP showed the average rate on the short-term debt paper fell to 4.6382 percent, down from 4.6981 percent recorded in the January 30 auction.
The central bank raised the offer size to P90 billion from P80 billion the previous week and awarded the full amount, signaling confidence in market demand.
Total tenders reached P123.5 billion, translating to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.54 times, underscoring continued interest in BSP securities despite the larger volume on offer.
