BOYNEXTDOOR lights up Manila with heartfelt, high-energy first concert

Exhausted but beaming with joy, K-pop group BOYNEXTDOOR wrapped up their first solo concert in the Philippines with unforgettable moments, heartfelt fan interactions, and high-energy performances that left fans—called OneDoor—cheering for more.

During the March 23 stop of their Knock On Vol. 1 world tour at the Araneta Coliseum, member Riwoo exclaimed “Pagod na kami!” after an intense set, prompting the crowd to help them recover with a slow countdown. A playful moment featuring Jaehyun sipping water—projected on the big screen—sent the crowd into a frenzy and gave the members a brief breather.

Despite the exhaustion, the group—Riwoo, Sungho, Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak—powered through a 21-song setlist filled with hits like One and Only, Dangerous, and Fadeaway, showcasing their polished choreography, vocals, and stage presence.

Their showmanship extended beyond performances. The members charmed fans with Filipino phrases, including “Masaya kami makita kayo,” “Edi wow,” “Mahal kita,” and “Gusto kita,” which drew squeals of delight. They even initiated a karaoke challenge during But I Like You, amazed at how well Filipino fans sang along.

The group also took time to connect with the audience, from high-fiving fans during Amnesia to waving at those in the upper sections, ensuring no one was left out.

A touching fan project video moved the members, with Taesan saying, “I’m so touched,” and thanking fans for giving them good memories. Jaehyun proudly mentioned his parents were in the audience, declaring, “This is my OneDoor.”

The concert wrapped up with a powerful encore of So Let’s Go See The Stars and a surprise second round of But I Like You.

BOYNEXTDOOR expressed their desire to return for an even bigger show in the future. “Let’s go to the biggest, like, stadium,” said Jaehyun. Leehan added in Filipino, “Magkita tayo ulit. Mahal ko kayong lahat.”

Their Manila concert wasn’t just a performance—it was a genuine exchange of love and energy between artists and fans, setting the tone for even greater things ahead.
