The Phoenix Suns extended their win streak to four on Monday night, edging the Milwaukee Bucks 108-106 in a tense back-and-forth battle that came down to the final seconds.
With the score tied and just 2.4 seconds on the clock, Devin Booker rose up from mid-range and buried a go-ahead jumper to seal the win for Phoenix, keeping their playoff hopes alive. The Suns remain in the final play-in spot in the Western Conference with 10 games left in the regular season.
Kevin Durant delivered a dominant performance, pouring in 38 points to carry the offensive load, while Booker added 19 — none more important than the game-winner.
Milwaukee had a chance to force overtime, but Brook Lopez’s turnaround jumper at the buzzer missed the mark, closing the door on a wild final stretch.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 31 points, while Lopez contributed 23 in the narrow loss.
The final minute was packed with drama. Bucks forward Kyle Kuzma nailed a corner three while drawing a foul from Durant, converting the rare four-point play to give Milwaukee a 105-103 lead with 1:22 remaining. But Durant quickly answered, drilling a three-pointer with 26.2 seconds left to swing the lead back in Phoenix’s favor.
Lopez then split a pair of free throws to tie the game at 106, setting up Booker’s late-game heroics.
Durant was particularly effective in the third quarter, scoring 13 points to help Phoenix grab an 81-78 lead heading into the final frame.
