Bitget has tapped seasoned fintech and blockchain executive Ignacio Aguirre Franco as its new chief marketing officer, signaling a sharper focus on global expansion and mass adoption as the company advances its vision of becoming a Universal Exchange.
Aguirre Franco brings more than 15 years of experience across technology, fintech, and blockchain, having held senior leadership roles at global firms including Adobe, SAP, Scorechain, and Xapo Bank.
His background spans brand building, digital transformation, and large-scale user growth, placing him at the center of Bitget’s ambition to evolve from a crypto platform into a broad, integrated financial ecosystem.
Bitget chief executive officer Gracy Chen said Aguirre Franco’s blend of technical depth and creative leadership comes at a pivotal moment for the company. She noted that his appointment will help shape how Bitget connects innovation, culture, and community worldwide as it scales its universal exchange model.
As CMO, Aguirre Franco is expected to steer Bitget’s global marketing strategy while supporting the seamless integration of centralized finance, decentralized finance, and traditional financial systems. The goal is to offer users one-stop access to a wide range of global assets, simplifying what has long been a fragmented financial landscape.
In a message following his appointment, Aguirre Franco said his priority is to break down long-standing barriers in finance and translate complex systems into accessible, meaningful experiences. He emphasized that Bitget already serves more than 120 million users globally, with a clear mandate to push that figure past 150 million in the near term and toward the company’s longer-term ambition of reaching one billion users by 2030.
Beyond brand leadership, he will focus on sharpening product storytelling and accelerating adoption of Bitget’s flagship innovations, including Onchain, GetAgent, and Stock Futures.
His approach centers on simplifying technical concepts while infusing creativity, positioning Bitget not only as a financial platform but also as a cultural touchpoint for the next generation of digital asset users.
Aguirre Franco said the company’s marketing efforts will prioritize value creation and clarity, ensuring that the vision behind the Universal Exchange and the future of finance resonates on a global scale.
By making secure access to crypto and real-world assets more intuitive and inclusive, he added, Bitget aims to build momentum toward surpassing 150 million users by 2026 and strengthening its position in the rapidly evolving Web3 economy.
