Global digital asset platform Bitget is deepening its push for digital inclusion in the Philippines by delivering high-speed satellite internet to remote island schools, connecting more than 7,300 students and over 100 teachers through its Blockchain4Youth Starlink program.

The initiative rolled out Starlink connectivity to six schools across Surigao del Norte, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, marking a breakthrough moment for communities that have long struggled with unreliable or nonexistent internet access.

For many of the schools involved, it is the first time students and educators have experienced stable, high-speed connectivity—an upgrade that is already reshaping how lessons are taught and prepared.

The newly connected institutions include Espoir School of Life and Lasala Integrated School in Surigao del Norte; Apo Elementary School and the Arts & Design Collective Dumaguete in Negros Oriental; and Siquijor State College and Siquijor Provincial Science High School in Siquijor. Prior to the installation, teachers in these areas relied almost entirely on printed worksheets and offline materials, limiting access to updated resources and interactive learning tools.

Bitget chief executive officer Gracy Chen said the project goes beyond technology deployment, describing it as an investment in opportunity. By extending reliable internet access to island communities, she said, Bitget is opening doors for young Filipinos to engage with the digital economy and develop skills that will be essential in the years ahead.

Each Starlink installation was paired with educator consultations, digital readiness assessments, and early testing of Blockchain4Youth learning modules. These preparatory steps are designed to ensure that schools can immediately translate connectivity into meaningful educational gains. Teachers now have access to online training and updated curricula, while students can explore interactive and digital-first learning experiences that were previously out of reach.

The Starlink rollout forms part of Bitget’s broader PayFi Islands initiative, which seeks to expand digital infrastructure and education in underserved regions nationwide. The company plans to continue deploying connectivity solutions while introducing digital literacy and Web3-focused programs, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive growth.

By combining high-speed internet access with sustained educational support, Bitget is helping remote island communities close the digital gap, strengthen learning outcomes, and build lasting pathways toward participation in the global digital economy.
