Xiaomi is giving budget-conscious consumers another reason to put a smartwatch on their wrist with the arrival of the REDMI Watch 6 Active, a new wearable that combines an AMOLED display, fitness and wellness tracking, Bluetooth calling, and battery life of up to 18 days.
Priced at ₱2,599, the smartwatch is positioned as an accessible option for students, young professionals, fitness enthusiasts, and first-time wearable users looking for practical smart features without paying premium-device prices.
A brighter AMOLED display built for everyday use
At the center of the REDMI Watch 6 Active is a 1.85-inch rectangular AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels, giving users a clear view of notifications, fitness data, health information, and other daily essentials.
The display can reach up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness, helping improve visibility when the watch is used outdoors or under direct sunlight. It also supports an Always-On Display, allowing users to check key information without fully waking the screen.
Xiaomi has paired the display with a refreshed user interface designed to make navigation quicker and more intuitive.
The watch also adopts a streamlined flat-edge design instead of the more conventional rounded profile found on many wearables. At just 9.9mm thick, it is built for comfortable all-day wear.
Its body uses PC polymer material matched with a durable TPU strap, while a Quick-Release strap system makes it easier for users to swap bands depending on their style or activity.

Health and fitness tracking around the clock
Beyond notifications and timekeeping, the REDMI Watch 6 Active doubles as an everyday wellness companion.
Its optical sensors support 24/7 heart-rate monitoring, giving users continuous information about their heart rate during rest and physical activity.
The smartwatch can also monitor blood oxygen saturation levels, or SpO2, while its all-day stress tracking feature helps users keep an eye on stress patterns and provides guided breathing exercises when needed.
For people who regularly exercise, commute, or spend time outdoors, the watch carries an IP68 water-resistance rating, offering protection against sweat, rain, and everyday splashes.
Take calls straight from your wrist
One of the REDMI Watch 6 Active’s most practical features is Bluetooth calling.
Using Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, the device allows users to answer supported calls directly from the smartwatch when paired with a compatible smartphone. That could come in handy during workouts, commutes, or moments when reaching for a phone is inconvenient.
Up to 18 days without reaching for the charger
Battery life is another major selling point.
The REDMI Watch 6 Active packs a 470mAh battery that Xiaomi says can deliver up to 18 days of use under light usage conditions.
For more typical everyday use, the smartwatch can last for up to 12 days, potentially reducing the need for frequent charging compared with wearables that require a recharge every few days.
That extended endurance makes the device particularly appealing to users who want fitness and connectivity features without adding another gadget to their daily charging routine.
Price and availability in the Philippines
The REDMI Watch 6 Active is priced at ₱2,599 in the Philippines.
Its local rollout begins with an online early-bird promotion from August 21 to 30, 2026, exclusively through the Xiaomi Online Store and Shopee. Buyers during the promotional period will receive a free limited strap while supplies last.
Starting August 31, the smartwatch will become available across Xiaomi’s official online stores.
Those who prefer to see and try the device in person can purchase it from Xiaomi Authorized Retail Stores nationwide beginning September 15, 2026.
With its bright AMOLED screen, Bluetooth calling, wellness monitoring, water resistance, and battery life stretching beyond two weeks under light use, the REDMI Watch 6 Active makes a strong pitch to Filipino consumers looking for an affordable smartwatch that covers the essentials — and then some.
