COTABATO CITY – Police arrested two suspected drug dealers and confiscated PHP1.8 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Maguindanao del Norte on Saturday evening.

Brig. Gen. Romeo Macapaz, Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro director, said the suspects, a 31-year-old farmer and a 38-year-old driver, both from Matanog town, were apprehended after selling PHP50,000 worth of shabu to an undercover agent near Camp S.K. Pendatun in Barangay Making of Parang town.

“The suspects were placed under surveillance for over three weeks before their arrest on Saturday night in Barangay Making,” Macapaz told a local radio station here.

The suspects thereafter surrendered three large sachets containing the illegal drugs amounting to PHP1,822,400 without resistance.

Both face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
