Baguio launches online payment for traffic tickets

Baguio City has launched an online portal allowing vehicle owners to pay traffic citation tickets via mobile phones or laptops, aiming to cut queues and streamline processing, the City Information Office said Friday.

Through https://bcap.baguio.gov.ph, users can enter the citation ticket number found on the upper right of the ticket and click “pay now” to view the amount due. Payments can be made through GCash by selecting Bills, choosing Government, and then Baguio City Traffic Violation. A reference number will be issued as proof of payment.

Tickets and payment amounts will be available online within 24 hours of issuance. The initiative is part of the city’s ongoing digitalization drive, which already includes online tax payments and building and work permit applications.

From January 1 to June 8, the Baguio City Police Office recorded 94,169 traffic violations, including anti-obstruction, illegal parking, and number coding offenses. Unpaid tickets are forwarded to the Department of Transportation and may affect license and vehicle registration renewals.
