HONOR Philippines has officially unveiled the HONOR X9d 5G, positioning it as one of the most rugged and feature-packed smartphones ever released in the mid-range segment. Priced at Php 17,999, the latest addition to the X Series raises the bar with top-tier durability, an enormous 8300mAh battery, and AI-powered imaging, all wrapped in a surprisingly lightweight and stylish design.
Built to thrive in real-world conditions, the HONOR X9d 5G is engineered with all-around protection against drops, water, and dust. It carries the industry-first SGS Triple Resistant Premium Performance Certification, alongside an SGS 5-Star Comprehensive Reliability Certification that confirms resistance to drops of up to 2.5 meters.
Reinforced with HONOR’s Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology, non-Newtonian fluid protection, and ultra-tough deep-tempered glass, the phone is designed to withstand harsh surfaces and extreme scenarios, going well beyond everyday accidents.
The device’s resilience extends to water exposure, thanks to its three-layer Water Resistance Structure 2.0 and IP69K rating. This allows the HONOR X9d 5G to function even under high-pressure water jets, heavy rain, splashes, and short exposure to hot water. It has also been tested to survive immersion at depths of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
Paired with AI Heavy Rain Touch and AI Glove Touch, the phone remains responsive even when wet or when used with gloves, making it a reliable companion for unpredictable environments.
Powering this toughness is one of the largest batteries ever seen in its class. The 8300mAh silicon-carbon battery ushers in what HONOR calls the “8 Era,” delivering up to three days of use on a single charge. Internal testing shows up to 52.5 hours of music streaming, 23.8 hours of online video playback, 16.8 hours of gaming, and 12.3 hours of video calls.
Built to last, the battery is supported by an anti-aging algorithm designed for up to six years of durability and operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 55°C. When power runs low, Ultra Power Saving Mode can still deliver up to 60 minutes of calls at just 2 percent battery, while 66W HONOR SuperCharge quickly restores power for extended use.
Photography is another highlight of the HONOR X9d 5G, led by a 108MP ultra-sensing main camera with a large 1/1.67-inch sensor. The camera delivers sharp, bright images in both daylight and low-light conditions, enhanced further by optical and electronic image stabilization for clearer shots and smoother videos.
HONOR’s growing suite of AI tools, including AI Eraser, AI Cutout, AI Outpainting, AI Upscale, and AI Remove Reflection, allows users to edit and enhance photos directly on the device. Support for HD live photo transfers between Android and iOS and 4K moving photo collages adds a creative edge for social sharing.
The immersive experience continues on the front with a 6.79-inch eye-comfort OLED display featuring 1.5K resolution, support for 1.07 billion colors, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Ultra-narrow bezels deliver a 94.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, while peak HDR brightness of up to 6000 nits ensures clarity even under direct sunlight. A full suite of eye-care technologies, including 3840Hz PWM dimming, low blue light hardware protection, and adaptive display features, helps reduce eye strain during extended use.
Under the hood, the HONOR X9d 5G runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, offering notable gains in performance efficiency with improvements of up to 29 percent in GPU performance and 11 percent in CPU performance over its predecessor.
HONOR RAM Turbo technology expands memory for an equivalent of up to 24GB RAM, paired with up to 256GB of internal storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and ample space for apps, media, and memories.
The HONOR X9d 5G is available in Reddish Brown, Sunrise Gold, and Midnight Black. Pre-orders run from January 9 to 23, with buyers getting a chance to win a Tesla Cybertruck. The device is available at HONOR Experience Stores, partner retailers, and online via Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop.
