The ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF) and the Thailand Sports Organizing Committee (THASOC) have reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a successful 13th ASEAN Para Games Thailand 2025, set to take place in Nakhon Ratchasima from January 26, 2026.
During the first Coordination Committee meeting (March 25-27), the APSF and THASOC evaluated preparations across key areas such as sports and technical planning, venues, marketing, classification, anti-doping, broadcasting, accreditation, logistics, and IT infrastructure. The delegation also conducted venue inspections for 18 sports, with bowling set to be held in Bangkok.
APSF President Major General Osoth Bhavilai expressed confidence in Thailand’s ability to host a world-class event, highlighting its experience in major sporting competitions. Preecha Lalun, Deputy Governor for Elite Sports and Sports Science at the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), confirmed that preparations are progressing well.
Set to be the largest ASEAN Para Games in history, the event will feature a record 19 sports, including:
Archery, athletics, badminton, blind football, boccia, bowling, chess, cycling (road and track), cerebral palsy football, goalball, judo, powerlifting, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, table tennis, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, and wheelchair tennis.
The 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium in Nakhon Ratchasima will serve as the main hub, with competitions also held at venues like Vongchavalitkul University, Suranaree University of Technology, and The Mall Korat.
With 300 days to go, APSF and THASOC remain focused on delivering a world-class, inclusive, and sustainable sporting event. The second Coordination Committee meeting is scheduled for July to further streamline preparations.
