ARTA backs Marcos as political turmoil intensifies, urging agencies to unit

A statement from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) expressing full support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., emphasizing commitment to governance efficiency, accountability, and national unity.

ARTA expressed its full support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday as political tensions continue to grip the country, saying it remains firmly aligned with the Chief Executive’s decisions and long-term governance agenda.

In a statement released on November 26, 2025, the Anti-Red Tape Authority emphasized that its loyalty to the President is rooted not only in its mandate under the Office of the President but also in its commitment to the vision of Bagong Pilipinas, which it described as a framework anchored on efficiency, accountability, and national unity.

The agency noted that President Marcos has consistently entrusted ARTA with driving government efficiency and improving ease of doing business across all levels of bureaucracy, responsibilities that it vowed to carry out without wavering.

ARTA officials urged calm amidst the ongoing political climate, saying they defer to the President’s judgment and that their trust in his leadership reflects their oath of allegiance to the Flag, the Constitution, and the Filipino people.

ARTA called for all grievances to be addressed through lawful channels, expressing confidence that courts, prosecutors, and law enforcement institutions are functioning as they should. The statement underscored that the rule of law must prevail despite the uncertainty of the moment.

The agency also appealed to government offices to elevate their level of service delivery, stressing that governance should not be treated as routine in times of turmoil but must instead be pursued with greater efficiency, transparency, and integrity.

According to ARTA, the whole-of-nation approach being championed by the administration should be lived daily in public service, not merely referred to as a policy principle.

To citizens, ARTA reiterated the importance of staying engaged and demanding accountability responsibly, saying this period requires not apathy but heightened civic consciousness and a collective strengthening of democratic institutions.

The agency added that Filipinos must continue to support one another and work toward unity, especially when the nation is confronted with political and social challenges.

In closing, ARTA said the country’s resilience ultimately depends on its people and that, together, Filipinos can rise above present difficulties and build a stronger, more transparent, and more business-ready Philippines.
