Araneta City is putting women at the center stage this March as it rolls out EmpowHER, a month-long celebration honoring the strength, creativity, and influence of women across different fields. The City of Firsts is marking National Women’s Month with a dynamic lineup of programs, events, and special offerings designed to highlight women’s contributions while creating spaces for empowerment, connection, and inspiration.
Throughout history, women have taken on diverse roles in society — nurturing families, leading organizations, shaping industries, and driving social change. Today, they continue to redefine possibilities and open doors for future generations, proving that empowerment is not only personal progress but also collective advancement for communities.
Anchored on the theme EmpowHER and aligned with the global call to “Give to Gain,” Araneta City’s celebration underscores the idea that investing in women’s empowerment creates ripple effects that benefit society as a whole. From fashion showcases and art exhibits to bazaars, sports activities, and forums, Araneta City-zens can expect a vibrant calendar of experiences that highlight women’s talent, leadership, and creativity.
Food lovers can look forward to a month-long culinary celebration at World Kitchens in Gateway Mall 2, which honors Chef Jessie Sincioco — the destination’s only female chef and one of the Philippines’ most respected culinary figures. Sincioco has earned international recognition, including two L’Assiette D’Or trophies at Chef’s On Parade, and was notably chosen to cook for Pope Francis during his 2015 visit to the country.
Wine enthusiasts will also have their moment at World Cellar, which will host an exclusive Italian wine-tasting event on March 26, offering guided pairings designed to bring together elegance, flavor, and meaningful connections.
Select dining brands across Araneta City are also joining the celebration with special promotions. Dairy Queen introduces a Blueberry Popping Candy Tin Cake priced at P349 — P90 off its regular price — available from March 6 to 8. Meanwhile, Pizza Hut offers Molly’s Fun Pair, which includes one large pan pizza of any flavor paired with a limited-edition Molly tote and charm for P999 from March 10 to 31.
Art takes the spotlight from March 7 to 15 through PaintHERs: Women in Arts at the Quantum Skyview in Gateway Mall 2. The exhibit will showcase the works of talented tattoo artists while giving visitors the opportunity to receive permanent or temporary tattoos from the featured creatives. The interactive space will also host art workshops, a flower bar, and a DIY pouch station where participants can explore their own creativity.
A women’s forum scheduled on March 8 will gather inspiring voices for conversations centered on empowerment and progress. The event will feature special appearances from the reigning Binibining Pilipinas queens and an energetic performance by P-pop girl group KAIA.
Women will also take the lead in sports through RunHERs: Women in Sports on March 8 at the Green Gate of the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Organized by the aRUNeta Run Club, the activity invites women to join a rejuvenating yoga session in celebration of International Women’s Day. Participants are encouraged to wear purple as a symbol of unity and empowerment, with free skincare products offered to attendees.
Gaming enthusiasts will have their moment at GameHERs: Women in eSports on March 14 and 15 at Ali Mall’s activity area. The event highlights the growing influence of women in gaming, providing a space where female gamers can connect, share experiences, and showcase merchandise within the expanding eSports community.
Entrepreneurship will be celebrated through EntreprenHERs: Women in Business from March 20 to 22 at Gateway Mall 1. The Proudly Original Products of Quezon City Women’s Bazaar will feature goods and products from women-led businesses across Metro Manila, offering shoppers a chance to support female entrepreneurs while discovering unique local creations.
Science and innovation will also be part of the month-long celebration through InnovateHERs: Women in Science on March 28 to 29 at Gateway Mall 1. The forum will spotlight women who are pushing boundaries in science and technology, highlighting projects that advance research, address environmental risks, and inspire the next generation of innovators.
Beyond the events, Novotel Manila Araneta City is offering special dining, wellness, and spa promotions throughout March. Guests can enjoy exclusive offers at Food Exchange, Prana, Indulge, and Che Buono, along with discounted services at InBalance Spa. Details of these offers are available at bit.ly/NMACMadeForHer.
“Women play an essential role in shaping our communities and advancing progress across all sectors. Through EmpowHER, Araneta City is honored to celebrate their contributions and provide experiences that uplift and inspire,” said Marjorie Go, Araneta City’s vice president for marketing.
More than a celebration, EmpowHER reflects Araneta City’s continued commitment to championing women and creating opportunities that empower them. By recognizing their achievements and amplifying their voices, the City of Firsts reinforces the belief that when women thrive, entire communities grow stronger.
