Apple announced new and expanded partnerships Tuesday with US manufacturers to supply key materials and components for its iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro models.
The agreements with Pennsylvania-based titanium producer Perryman Company and Delaware-headquartered Qnity Electronics form part of Apple’s American Manufacturing Program, the company said in a statement.
Apple committed up to $100 million over the next three years with Perryman, which will supply titanium for products including the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
Perryman will use at least 80% recycled content in the titanium it produces for the device’s enclosure.
Apple is also expanding its partnership with Qnity Electronics to manufacture advanced films in the US for the iPhone 18 Pro’s variable aperture camera system.
The technology used in the device’s 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera automatically adjusts the amount of light entering the camera, letting in more light in darker conditions and helping capture sharper details in brighter settings.
Apple said nearly 100 components used in the two iPhone models are produced by American companies, with suppliers operating across more than a dozen states.
Its manufacturing partners include Broadcom, Corning, Coherent, TSMC and Amkor Technology.
By the end of 2026, Corning’s Kentucky facility is expected to produce all cover glass for iPhone and Apple Watch models sold worldwide.
TSMC’s Arizona factory is expected to produce more than 100 million chips for Apple this year.
Apple said it works with suppliers in all 50 US states and supports more than 450,000 American jobs.
The partnerships are part of its four-year, $600 billion commitment to US manufacturing and innovation, aimed at expanding domestic production of advanced materials and critical components.
