The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) of Antique has approved the realignment of its 2024 Special Trust Fund worth PHP24.5 million to finance priority DRRM projects this year.
The move was formalized through Resolution No. 09 during the council’s third quarter meeting on Thursday, led by Governor Paolo Javier.
Javier stressed the need for immediate and full-scale implementation of projects to ensure that communities benefit without delay.
“This time, I want a full-scale implementation. There will be no more phase 1, phase 2, or phase 3,” he said.
He added that multi-purpose centers and similar projects must be fully funded to guarantee functionality once completed.
The Provincial Engineering Office was directed to reassess ongoing projects under earlier phases to determine if they remain viable for continuation and completion.
The council also authorized Javier, vice chairpersons, and the Office of the PDRRM officer to review and finalize programs and activities for inclusion in the 2026 local DRRM fund.
