He added, “We started Angkas eight years ago with one mission. To ease traffic congestion in Metro Manila while transforming motorcycle riders into entrepreneurs or ‘nanopreneurs,’ giving them income opportunities that will change their lives for good.”

“One of the main challenges of motorcycle riders and even tricycle drivers and operators is access to insurance. We want to change that by helping these informal sectors into the formal financial system. We will give them access to insurance services ‘para hindi naman nila malaking problema kung sakaling may sakunang mangyara habang sila ay naghahanapbuhay,'” Royeca emphasized.
This initiative protects livelihoods and ensures riders can pursue their work without undue financial risk.
