Speaking at the anniversary event of her beauty brand, Lucky Beauty, last Friday, the Kapamilya star candidly revealed that she is currently dating—but clarified that she is not yet in a committed relationship.
“I’ve always been open to dating,” Brillantes shared in a backstage interview. “It’s been two years since my last relationship, and I’m enjoying this new chapter. A lot of people are making a big deal out of it, but I’m just dating—nothing more, nothing less.”
The actress is currently seeing Sam Fernandez, a Filipino-Jordanian former basketball player who played in high school for San Beda University. However, she emphasized that he is private and not involved in showbiz.
“He’s not a basketball player anymore. He used to play,” she laughed when asked about Fernandez. “We’ve been friends for many years, and I’ve known him for a long time.”
