Ant International has launched a major step forward in financial technology with the introduction of Alipay+ GenAI Cockpit, a new AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) platform designed to help fintech companies and super apps develop AI-native financial services. The platform is engineered to deliver greater efficiency, security, and adaptability across key financial operations.
The GenAI Cockpit enables businesses to integrate AI agents into their workflows, allowing them to automate critical tasks such as payment orchestration, onboarding, compliance, fraud detection, and dispute resolution. These AI agents are capable of working autonomously in complex financial environments while continuously learning and improving over time.
Jiangming Yang, Chief Innovation Officer of Ant International, explained that the future of finance lies in agentic AI—intelligent systems that not only perform tasks but also adapt and evolve with increasing precision in real-world business settings.
The platform has already been deployed internally across Ant International’s major business lines, including wallet gateway service Alipay+, merchant payment provider Antom, cross-border account service WorldFirst, and embedded finance solutions. Following successful trials, external clients in Southeast Asia and South Asia will begin rolling out the system in June 2025.
Alipay+ GenAI Cockpit reflects Ant International’s broader AI strategy, built around three foundational pillars: security, fintech-specific AI expertise, and full-platform support for building and deploying intelligent agents.
One of the platform’s core strengths is its robust security framework, known as AI SHIELD. This system is designed to counter both external threats like AI-generated scams and internal challenges such as model hallucination or data bias. With over 100 recognition models and 600,000 risk lexicons, AI SHIELD provides real-time risk monitoring and dynamic defenses. This has helped reduce fraud losses in Antom’s merchant services to just 5 percent of the industry average.
Another key component of the GenAI Cockpit is its deep integration with financial knowledge. It supports more than 20 leading large language models, including Ant’s proprietary Falcon Time-Series Transformer FX Model, while offering tools specifically designed for financial scenarios. The platform allows companies to build specialized AI agents by incorporating domain-specific rules, such as bank transfer protocols and dispute resolution policies.
To help merchants in particular, Ant has created Antom Copilot, the first AI agent of its kind. It streamlines tasks like payment channel integration, document auto-completion, and troubleshooting, while also allowing users to configure risk management settings using natural language.
The GenAI Cockpit also provides a wide range of pre-built agents for standard tasks such as customer service and marketing. These can be quickly customized for more complex use cases, including tax refunds, international remittances, travel services, and rewards programs.
In addition, the platform includes a marketplace for Model Context Protocols (MCP), giving businesses the ability to create or connect with MCP servers for advanced task automation. It supports both public cloud and on-premise deployment through partnerships with infrastructure providers like Google Cloud.
Jiangming Yang emphasized that the financial AI sector is undergoing a transformational moment. By opening up this platform and collaborating with industry partners, Ant International aims to accelerate innovation and enable financial institutions to scale smarter and more securely.
With Alipay+ GenAI Cockpit, Ant International is laying the groundwork for a new era in fintech—where AI doesn’t just support financial services but actively drives them forward.
