The 21-year-old Filipina has secured the biggest prize money payout of her professional career after advancing to the third round of the prestigious Grand Slam tournament, guaranteeing herself at least £185,000, or roughly ₱15 million based on current exchange rates.
The milestone marks another breakthrough in Eala’s remarkable rise on the international tennis circuit, underscoring how her impressive Wimbledon campaign is paying off both competitively and financially.
Her earnings could climb even higher if she pulls off one of the tournament’s biggest upsets. A victory over defending champion Świątek would send Eala into the Round of 16 and increase her singles prize money to £300,000, equivalent to more than ₱24 million.
Eala’s record payday comes on the heels of a string of confident performances on the famed grass courts of the All England Club. She opened her campaign with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 victory over Renata Zarazúa before showcasing her resilience in the second round, battling back from a set down to defeat Maya Joint, 3-6, 6-2, 6-0.
