ABOUT AILA (A-LA)
Aila Santos was born in Zamboanga City. In her early teenage years, she pursued her passion for music by joining a certain band who eventually got an offer in Dubai. A few years after, a new contract in Korea was accepted by Aila and her band known as R2K.
Aila was part of a second season of Tawag ng Tanghalan, an amateur singing competition, currently aired in a segment of a noontime show in ABS-CBN – It’s Showtime. She has become everyone’s favorite since her first win on 18th of July 2017. Aila got her title as 7th time defending champion which then qualified her to be one of the semifinalists for TNT season 2. She was eliminated in the semifinals but reverted to the Ultimate Resbak which in turn made her trending worldwide. Fans are praising her talent and criticizing the judges for not appreciating her enough, with some saying she would be appreciated more in international competition like in the USA or UK.
Aila is a phenomenal vocalist with a wide vocal range and a magnetic stage presence. Her soulful and emotive voice captures the hearts of listeners, while her charismatic personality creates an instant connection with the audience. Aila’s versatility allows her to effortlessly explore various genres like pop, soul, and even jazz, showcasing her incredible vocal abilities.

R2K Band, on the other hand, is a group of skilled musicians who bring a dynamic energy to the stage, with each member contributing their unique talent to create a powerful and cohesive sound. Comprised of Aila Santos (lead vocalist), Lucky Sunday Soriano (guitarist), Ephraim Dave Fernandez (drummer), Eric Corda (bassist), and Jason Nemenzo (keyboardist), the band blends technical skill with passionate performance, captivating audiences with every show.
