Aboitiz Foods wrapped up 2025 with a series of community programs across the Philippines and China, highlighting its mission of “Together we nourish the future.”

The initiatives, carried out under its Pilmico and Gold Coin brands, focused on supporting vulnerable groups, promoting food security, health, and social inclusion, and fostering partnerships in local communities.

Joeben Gamatero, Vice President for Brand & Reputation Management and Agribusiness Marketing, said the programs reflect the company’s belief that sustainable growth is built on uplifting communities.

In Iligan City, 35 employees volunteered to assist 50 Badjao students at the Presbyterian Christian Academy, and provided food and care packages to 50 pediatric patients and 50 newborns with mothers at Gregorio T. Lluch Memorial Hospital.

The programs in Iligan also included the turnover of solar-powered classrooms, Starlink internet connections, and digital learning tools to five last-mile schools under the AuroraPH initiative, in partnership with the Aboitiz Foundation and the Department of Education.

In Tarlac and Nueva Ecija, the company distributed grocery packs, served hot meals, and organized community celebrations, benefiting nearly 900 residents near its feedmill, farm, and meat operations.

In China, Gold Coin China–Guangxi delivered care packages containing rice and cooking oil to 145 elderly residents in Dongshan Town, Yunnan Province, addressing challenges related to limited arable land and youth outmigration.

Local village committees assisted in the distribution, and the initiative aimed not only to meet immediate needs but also to support the local economy and build long-term community engagement.

The outreach programs align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well-Being, Reduced Inequalities, and Sustainable Cities and Communities.

Looking ahead, Aboitiz Foods said it will continue scaling its social impact, ensuring that its business growth benefits communities, partners, and the broader food value chain.
