Manila Electric Company (Meralco), led by Manuel V. Pangilinan, has assured customers across its franchise area of stable and reliable electricity service throughout the Holy Week break.

In a statement issued on March 29, 2026, Meralco said its response teams will remain on standby 24/7 to address any power-related concerns that may arise during the observance.

“We join the nation in observing a solemn and safe Holy Week. As a 24/7 service provider, we assure our customers that our crews are fully prepared to respond to any power-related concerns that may arise,” said Joe Zaldarriaga, Meralco vice president and head of corporate communications.

The country’s largest power distributor also reminded customers to take extra precautions, especially those who will be leaving their homes for an extended period. Meralco advised the public to unplug appliances before leaving, avoid overloading outlets with extension cords or octopus connections, keep electrical wires neatly arranged and away from foot traffic, and make sure devices are kept away from water.

Customers with electricity service concerns may reach Meralco through 0920-9716211, 0917-5516211, or the hotline 16211. They may also contact the company through the My Meralco mobile app and its official Facebook and X pages.

Meralco business centers will be closed from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday, with regular operations set to resume on April 6.
