Three weather systems will bring rains across the country on Friday, the state weather bureau said.
Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies are also forecast over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon.
The same weather condition is expected across Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
Moderate to heavy rains in these areas could result in flash floods or landslides, according to PAGASA.
The rest of the country will experience isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by the ITCZ and the easterlies.
Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.
Strong winds and rough coastal waters will prevail across extreme Northern Luzon.
The rest of Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
PAGASA, meanwhile, said the low-pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility still has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.
As of 2:00 a.m., the LPA was located 360 kilometers northwest of Pag-asa Island in Kalayaan, Palawan. (PNA)
