The pride of the Philippine seas is now carrying the pride of Filipino craftsmanship. 2GO Travel, the country’s premier sea travel provider, has joined forces with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to bring locally made treasures onboard through the Biyahe2Business campaign, in support of the One Town, One Product (OTOP) program.
This groundbreaking partnership transforms every voyage into a floating marketplace of Filipino creativity—where passengers can discover regional delicacies, artisanal goods, and handmade crafts from small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the archipelago.
From port to market: Sailing with purpose
The collaboration officially launches with OTOP products from Region 12, featured in a dedicated display aboard MV 2GO Masinag. The OTOP Nook, created in partnership with DTI-Region 12, highlights curated products from accredited local entrepreneurs. In the coming months, more vessels will showcase other regions’ best, ensuring that every 2GO route celebrates a different story of Filipino innovation.
This initiative also complements DTI’s Supply Chain and Logistics Center (SCLC), which helps MSMEs access real-time logistics data, market linkages, and business development programs—empowering local enterprises to expand beyond their hometowns.
Empowering entrepreneurs across islands
“This collaboration allows our regional offices to bring and promote their products across islands through creative and practical logistics solutions,” said DTI-12 Regional Director and RAPID Growth Project National Director Flora D. Politud-Gabunales, CESO V. “With 2GO’s support, MSMEs can reach new customers, while travelers get a taste of authentic Filipino flavors and craftsmanship from every corner of the country.”
For 2GO Travel, the partnership builds on its Biyahe2Business platform—an advocacy that helps small businesses thrive by improving access to transport and logistics.
“This partnership underscores our long-term commitment to help small businesses grow through flexible, affordable, and reliable sea transport solutions,” said Francis John Chua, Business Unit Head of 2GO Travel. “With our generous 50KG luggage allowance, entrepreneurs can move their products and supplies more freely. For us, sea travel isn’t just about connecting destinations—it’s about connecting communities, celebrating culture, and enabling commerce.”
Beyond transport: Creating waves of opportunity
As DTI’s official travel and logistics partner, 2GO Travel will also offer special MSME travel discounts, group tour packages, and logistics consultancy services tailored to small businesses. The company will further support Negosyo Centers nationwide by establishing Logistics Support Desks to assist entrepreneurs in navigating transport and delivery needs.
With direct routes from Manila to key trade cities such as Iloilo, Bacolod, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, and General Santos, 2GO continues to power national connectivity—bridging not just islands, but livelihoods.
