2 bettors to split P6.1-M lotto pot

Two lucky bettors from Pagbilao, Quezon and Compostela Public Market, Davao de Oro will split the PHP6.1 million jackpot prize from the Lotto 6/42 draw held Saturday night.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Sunday that the winning combination — 11-10-05-42-24-39 — was correctly guessed by both bettors, entitling them to share the total jackpot of PHP6,184,178.80.

Winners have one year to claim their prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City. They must present the winning ticket and two valid IDs. Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law, lotto winnings above PHP10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax.

In addition to the jackpot winners, 42 players won PHP24,000 each for matching five numbers. Another 1,763 bettors will receive PHP800 for matching four, and 24,678 players will get PHP20 for matching three digits.

The 6/42 Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles encouraged continued support for the agency’s gaming products, noting that proceeds help fund medical services, health initiatives, and support for government institutions through PCSO’s mandated contributions.
