The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board – National Capital Region (LTFRB-NCR), headed by Regional Director Atty. Zona Russet M. Tamayo, successfully concluded its six-day implementation of Oplan Undas 2026, in support of the Board’s intensified efforts to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient public transportation during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

Throughout the six-day operation, LTFRB-NCR personnel joined forces with the Central Office in monitoring Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) operations, particularly at major transport terminals, to ensure the safety and convenience of passengers traveling to their respective provinces and returning to Metro Manila for the Undas break.

Based on the overall assessment of Public Utility Bus (PUB) operations, particularly those of GV Florida and Victory Liner, bus services remained reliable and efficient throughout the monitoring period. Notably, no stranded passengers and no untoward incidents were recorded during the conduct of the operation, reflecting the transport operators’ efforts to provide uninterrupted service to the riding public.

Meanwhile, the implementation of Oplan Isnabero, which focused on monitoring taxi operations and other lower modes of public transportation, likewise yielded positive results. The intensified monitoring recorded zero reported violations involving refusal to convey passengers, overcharging of fares, and other franchise-related violations.

Through Oplan Undas and Oplan Isnabero, the LTFRB-NCR reaffirms its commitment to ensuring safe, dependable, and accessible public transportation while strengthening its mandate to protect the riding public against unlawful and abusive transport practices, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., through the guidance of DOTr Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon, and leadership of Acting Chairman Atty. Greg G. Pua, Jr.
