After being released from detention in the House of Representatives, Atty. Zuleika Lopez was seen at the Office of the Vice President (OVP) in Mandaluyong City.
The OVP’s Facebook page showed the chief of staff back in her uniform and ID, smiling for pictures during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, February 3.
Additionally, the OVP welcomed Commission on Elections (Comelec) spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco to discuss the guidelines and voting process for the upcoming 2025 elections.
Photos of the discussion were also posted, showing the chief of staff attending the explanation of the process.
Although she was featured in the pictures, it has yet to be confirmed whether she has officially returned to her position as chief of staff and undersecretary for the OVP.
Lopez previously shared her desire to step down from her post after being cited in contempt during Congress’s probe into the alleged misuse of Vice President Sara Duterte’s confidential funds.
Lopez was initially detained at the House of Representatives detention center, then confined at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center after falling ill. She was later transferred to the Correctional Institution for Women in the middle of the night.
