Zach Bryan, Taylor Swift Top 2024 Billboard Music Awards nominations

Taylor Swift and Zach Bryan are at the forefront of the 2024 Billboard Music Awards nominations, each vying for top honors in a year that has seen both artists dominate the charts.

Bryan, a country star who rose to fame with hits like “I Remember Everything” featuring Kacey Musgraves, leads the field with 18 nominations. Swift follows closely with 16, continuing her unparalleled success across various categories.

Country chart-topper Morgan Wallen and pop star Sabrina Carpenter also receive significant recognition, with Wallen picking up 15 nominations and Carpenter scoring 9.

The four artists—Bryan, Swift, Wallen, and Carpenter—are all in the running for the prestigious Top Artist award, alongside rapper Drake.

This year’s nominees reflect the diversity of musical tastes, with Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Tyla, Teddy Swims, Bad Bunny, and BTS’s Jungkook, among those receiving multiple nods.

In a major expansion of the awards, the 2024 BBMAs introduces three new categories for hard rock—Top Hard Rock Album, Top Hard Rock Artist, and Top Hard Rock Song—signaling a shift towards the genre’s growing popularity.
The full list of nominees includes a blend of genres, from R&B to Latin, and from K-pop to gospel, as the awards continue to reflect global musical trends.

The 2024 Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast live on December 12 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with performances available online through Billboard’s social channels. The awards show honors the year’s biggest music acts based on performance metrics from the Billboard charts, tracking data from October 28, 2023, to October 19, 2024.

Among other notable contenders, a host of K-pop stars—such as Jimin, Stray Kids, and Tomorrow X Together—are up for major awards in the K-pop category, alongside other international artists like KAROL G, Shakira, and Peso Pluma.

The full list of nominees spans across artist, album, and song categories, with an impressive mix of established stars and emerging talent, including Benson Boone, Tate McRae, and Jack Harlow.

Fans can expect a night of memorable moments when the 2024 BBMAs air live on Fox, Fire TV Channels, and Paramount+. Performances will also be posted on Billboard’s website and social media pages.
