The shear line, easterlies, and the northeast monsoon or amihan are expected to bring rainy weather to several parts of the country on Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin issued Tuesday, Pagasa said the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.
The same weather system is forecast to cause cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Metro Manila.
Ilocos Region, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, the remaining areas of Cagayan Valley, and most of Central Luzon except Aurora are also expected to experience isolated rains.
Pagasa said Aurora and Quezon may have scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.
The rest of Calabarzon is forecast to experience isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms brought by the same weather system.
Meanwhile, easterlies are expected to bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region.
Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Southern Leyte may also experience scattered rains due to the easterlies.
The rest of the country is forecast to have isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Residents in affected areas were advised to remain alert for possible flash floods and landslides, especially during periods of moderate to heavy rainfall.
