Vantage Energy, a licensed retail electricity supplier (RES) under the Meralco group, is expanding its regional footprint with a landmark partnership in Bohol—marking its first-ever venture in the province.
The company has signed a retail electricity supply agreement with Bohol Quality Corporation (BQC), the operator of the iconic BQ Mall in Tagbilaran City. This deal promises to deliver reliable and cost-efficient power to one of Bohol’s most established commercial hubs, aiming to modernize the mall’s energy infrastructure while boosting its operational resilience and sustainability.
Raymund G. Ong, President of BQC, welcomed the partnership, noting its potential to blend tradition with innovation. “BQ Mall has long been a symbol of dependable service for the Boholano community,” Ong said. “This new alliance with Vantage Energy enhances that legacy—ensuring more reliable, sustainable, and forward-looking energy solutions.”
Established in 1945, BQC has been a cornerstone of Bohol’s retail scene for generations. From its humble beginnings to its current role as a key player in the province’s commercial development, BQC continues to evolve with the times while staying true to its community-first ethos.
The partnership represents more than just a power deal—it’s a shared commitment to progress, according to Vantage Energy President Ernesto M. Cabral.
