The state-of-the-art system, formerly in use at the UPS Clark Hub, has been officially turned over to the Philippine Air Force to enhance cargo handling at the base.

Designed to move goods swiftly and efficiently, the conveyor belt is expected to significantly improve the flow of supplies, equipment, and other critical materials, supporting the Air Force’s mission with faster turnaround times and smoother ground operations.

The donation reflects UPS Philippines’ broader effort to invest in infrastructure that supports trade, operational readiness, and community resilience. By extending logistical support to key national institutions, UPS Delbros continues to underscore the importance of reliable and responsive systems in sustaining both economic activity and public service.

“We are deeply grateful for the Philippine Air Force’s commitment to protecting our country, and that is the major motivation behind this donation,” said Jose Paolo Delgado, President and CEO of Delbros Group. “We truly believe that this automated conveyor system will be a great fit for your goals and operations, making it easier, faster, more convenient, and more efficient to load your planes with essential supplies, tools, and people.”

With a proven track record of sorting and loading more than a thousand packages per hour during its years of operation with UPS, the conveyor system has demonstrated durability and reliability under demanding conditions.

Now repurposed for use at Clark Air Base, it stands as a practical example of how private sector assets can continue to deliver value in public service, even beyond their original commercial use.

The donation also reflects the depth of the partnership between UPS and the Delbros Group, one of the few global joint ventures that bring together an international logistics leader and a local Filipino partner.

Since the establishment of the UPS Asian hub in the Philippines in 1999, the collaboration has played a steady role in advancing the country’s logistics capabilities and positioning the Philippines as a strategic player in regional trade.

As UPS Delbros continues to expand its presence and invest in local infrastructure, including plans to increase operational flights by 2028, the company’s focus remains firmly on enabling trade while contributing to national development. The turnover of the conveyor system to the Philippine Air Force is part of this wider vision, blending global expertise with local impact.

Beyond its immediate operational benefits, the initiative mirrors UPS Philippines’ global commitment to support institutions involved in public service, humanitarian response, and peacekeeping.

Through contributions that enhance efficiency and readiness, UPS Delbros reinforces its role not just as a logistics provider, but as a partner in nation-building, working alongside institutions that serve and protect the Filipino people.
