Police arrested a man following a late-night response to a Unified 911 call reporting the presence of armed individuals in Barangay Guijo, San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan on February 28.

Authorities said personnel from the local police station went to the area to verify the report and conduct an on-site assessment.

An initial investigation indicated that the suspect allegedly confronted a 17-year-old male and pointed a firearm at him, causing concern among nearby residents.

Police said the suspect was taken into custody during the response, while a companion left the area and was believed to have carried the firearm involved.

A search of the arrested man yielded several rounds of ammunition, including .38 caliber and .22 caliber bullets, authorities reported.

The recovered items were inventoried at the scene in the presence of a barangay official, following standard procedure.

Police said they were preparing cases for grave threats and for violation of Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, for inquest proceedings.

Authorities said the incident underscored the use of the Unified 911 system in facilitating police responses to reports involving public safety.
