The iconic blue bird logo that once hung at Twitter’s former San Francisco headquarters has been sold at auction for $34,375, according to the Associated Press.
The sign, which weighs 254 kilograms and measures 3.7 by 2.7 meters, was part of an auction by RR Auction, a company known for offering rare and collectible items. The buyer’s identity was not disclosed.
The sale follows Elon Musk’s rebranding of Twitter to X and his earlier decision to auction off various items from the company’s old office, including signs, memorabilia, and furniture.
Other tech-related artifacts were also sold during the auction. An Apple-1 computer with accessories fetched $375,000, a 1976 Apple Computer Co. check signed by Steve Jobs went for $112,054, and a first-generation iPhone with 4GB of memory in its original packaging was sold for $87,514.
