Türkiye is following up on the procurement process of F-35s, said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday.
“We told them (the US), ‘We paid, yet you still haven’t delivered the F-35s. That’s it. Now we’re following up’,” he said at a reception in Turkish parliament.
Last Thursday, US President Donald Trump and Turkish President Erdogan had a meeting at the White House, with the F-35 issue among the agenda items.
After the meeting, Trump had said the leaders “had a very good conversation having to do with the purchase of military equipment.”
