US President Donald Trump said Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium would either be handed over to the United States for destruction or eliminated under a coordinated arrangement involving international oversight.

In a post on Truth Social on Monday, Trump said the material could be transferred “immediately” to the US or, alternatively, destroyed on-site or at an agreed facility, with verification from relevant atomic energy authorities.

He added that the process would be carried out either in coordination with Iran or through an acceptable third location, with international nuclear oversight bodies present to witness the operation.

The statement came as discussions reportedly advanced toward a possible agreement aimed at easing tensions involving Iran and the United States, according to diplomatic sources cited in reports.

Meanwhile, Pakistani Army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir told Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that a potential agreement between Tehran and Washington was nearing completion, based on information from Chinese state media.

Munir made the remarks during a meeting in Beijing held alongside Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s official visit to China, where discussions focused on regional diplomacy and mediation efforts.

He also briefed Chinese officials on Pakistan’s involvement in facilitating communication between Iran and the United States amid ongoing negotiations.

Reports said Pakistan has continued to position itself as a mediator in the talks, while encouraging broader international participation, including a possible role for China in supporting the process.
