Materials from the Philippine Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka are now on display at the ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) 2026, presenting cultural and design elements in a regional tourism trade setting.
The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines organized the booth, which includes rattan structures and handwoven textile panels repurposed from the Expo Pavilion, highlighting sustainable practices and local craftsmanship.
At Expo 2025 Osaka, the Pavilion included 212 handwoven panels and rattan elements representing weaving traditions from across the country, and received the Silver Plaque for Exhibition Design from the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).

For TRAVEX 2026, four large-scale textile artworks representing Davao, Cebu, Bicol, and Ilocos are on display, providing delegates an example of regional design and cultural expression in a business-to-business environment.
The continued use of these elements demonstrates how materials from cultural exhibitions can be reused in other contexts, extending their practical and educational value.
TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles said the display allows the Pavilion’s materials to reach a new audience within a trade-focused setting, where cultural elements support discussions on tourism products and partnerships.
After TRAVEX 2026, selected components of the Pavilion will be transferred to the National Museum of the Philippines, making them accessible to the public while preserving their design and cultural significance.
