A Quezon City transport worker’s decades-long habit of buying lotto tickets finally paid off after he clinched the ₱8-million jackpot in the PCSO Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on November 28, 2025.
The blue-collar worker, who has been placing bets since 1995, personally claimed his prize at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City on December 1, presenting the winning ticket bearing the combination 01-05-37-31-18-19.
According to the winner, he played three randomly selected six-number combinations for the draw, approaching the game with what he described as a “carefree” mindset. Over the years, he made it a habit to drop by the nearest lotto outlet whenever he had extra cash, especially when the jackpot prize climbed close to the ₱20-million mark.
Now suddenly a multimillionaire, the transport worker said he plans to use his winnings carefully and with purpose. At the top of his list is investing in his own transportation units to grow his livelihood. He also hopes to finally buy a family home—an aspiration he admitted he never imagined would become reality this soon.
Looking ahead, he is also considering opening a small eatery or sari-sari store, seeing it as a practical business that could provide steady income and long-term security for his family.
While stories like his continue to inspire Filipinos dreaming of a better future, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office reminded the public that lotto remains a game of chance and encouraged players to participate responsibly.
