A training aircraft crash-landed in an agricultural field in Barangay Lalangan, Plaridel, Bulacan on Friday afternoon.
The aircraft, operated by Fliteline Aviation and bearing tail number RP-C896, was on a routine local flight when it went down. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
On board were Capt. Valentin Torres III and his student, Johann Kyle San Diego. Both survived the crash and were brought to Marcelo-Padilla Children and Medical Hospital in Barangay Banga I. Details on their injuries have yet to be released.
Responders from the Plaridel Airport Police Station, led by pilot Rodel Ngo, along with personnel from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines’ Airport Rescue and Firefighter and Security and Intelligence Services, arrived on the scene shortly before 3 p.m. to verify and assess the situation.
