In the world of pet content, two dogs are taking over TikTok with their hilarious antics and unexpectedly human-like behavior. Meet Jefferson and Panda—Filipino fur siblings known for their chaotic energy, viral mishaps, and their fur mom’s unforgettable catchphrase: “Jefferson, ayan!”
Jefferson, the 11-month-old pup, is an attention-seeking bundle of energy. From falling off tables and climbing trees to rolling in mud and crying when left alone, Jefferson’s wild behavior has earned him viral fame. His human-like name only added to the laughs, with netizens jokingly dubbing him “Jefferson A. Yan” after a clip of him falling off a table gained popularity.
“Every time na aalis ako, umiiyak sya. Nagkakaroon siya ng separation anxiety. Tapos pag-uwi ko, nagsasalita siya na para bang pinapagalitan ako,” said owner Amy Osorio.
Originally named after Osorio’s brother-in-law, Jefferson was supposed to be adopted by her sister but ended up staying with Amy. The name stuck—and so did Jefferson’s stardom.
Panda, the older sibling, is the more behaved but equally amusing counterpart. Nicknamed “lowered na baka” by netizens because of her black-and-white cow-like markings and stubby body, Panda became viral after she fell into a canal while chasing a mouse. Her fans love her random habit of moving in slow motion, adding to the duo’s charm.
“Akala ko three days pa matatapos slow-mo ni Panda,” joked one commenter.
Osorio, 44, admits that being a fur mom isn’t all laughs. Caring for her three dogs takes time, patience, and money—especially for their health needs.
“It’s not easy to have a dog. More time ang kailangan nila kasi kailangan mo din silang laruin, at kausapin… you need funds for them talaga,” she said.
Still, her love for her dogs runs deep. “Kung ilang taon ang ilalagi nila na kasama ako, gusto kong maging masaya sila [at] hindi sila makaramdam ng gutom o ano mang pain.”
