Atty. Marco Pineda took his oath before the Senate impeachment court as prosecutors continued presenting evidence involving properties allegedly linked to Duterte and her husband, lawyer Manases Carpio.
Pineda was called to testify on land records under the jurisdiction of the Registry of Deeds in Samal as part of the prosecution’s presentation concerning allegations of undisclosed properties.
He followed Atty. Kathy Florence Baldonado, Register of Deeds IV of the Davao City Regional Center, who was presented as the prosecution’s first witness of the day.
The prosecution is seeking to establish through land registration records whether properties allegedly connected to Carpio were properly reflected in the asset declarations of the Vice President.
The testimony forms part of the prosecution’s evidence concerning allegations involving Duterte’s assets, liabilities and net worth.
The allegations remain subject to the presentation and authentication of evidence before the impeachment court, cross-examination by the defense and the court’s determination.
