Takeda Healthcare Philippines secures back-to-back recognition at Asia’s ACES Awards

Takeda Healthcare Philippines, Inc. has once again been recognized at the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability Awards, marking its second consecutive win in the Inspiring Workplaces in Asia category and reinforcing the company’s standing as one of the region’s leading people-centered organizations.

The latest recognition underscores the sustained efforts of Takeda Healthcare Philippines, Inc. to cultivate a workplace culture that empowers employees, strengthens trust among stakeholders, and ultimately supports better health outcomes for Filipino patients.

THPI Country Manager Loreann Villanueva said the honor reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to Takeda-ism, the guiding philosophy that shapes how the organization operates and engages its people. She noted that fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment has been central to building a resilient workforce while supporting sustainable business growth, adding that the recognition affirms the impact of these efforts.

In its citation, the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability Awards highlighted Takeda’s consistent focus on embedding its values into everyday work. The judges cited the company’s emphasis on collaboration, psychological safety, and inclusive innovation as key drivers of both employee fulfillment and organizational performance, demonstrating how a strong workplace ethos can translate into long-term success.

The panel further commended Takeda’s comprehensive employee programs, pointing to initiatives that promote resilience, wellness, and continuous growth. These include mentoring and development opportunities, innovation incubators, and benefits designed to reinforce inclusivity, not only for employees but also for their dependents—ensuring that people remain at the heart of the organization’s priorities.

Takeda Healthcare Philippines has rolled out a range of programs aimed at strengthening engagement and well-being, from extending medical benefits to same-sex and common-law partners to providing Quarterly Care Kits, wellness initiatives, and a dedicated Wellness Room. These are complemented by work-life balance measures such as No Meeting Fridays, hybrid work arrangements, and flexible working hours, reflecting the company’s holistic approach to employee care.

The ACES Awards 2025, held in Bali, Indonesia on November 27 to 28, recognized excellence in leadership and sustainability across the region, drawing 827 nominations from 32 countries. Established in 2014 and based in Kuala Lumpur, the ACES Awards is widely regarded as one of Asia’s most prestigious platforms for honoring corporate leadership and sustainability, known for its rigorous, research-driven evaluation process and distinguished roster of awardees.
