But this isn’t just a promotional stop—it’s a statement. DC Studios is putting the spotlight on Filipino fans, recognizing their passion and loyalty by giving Manila the honor of being ground zero for Superman’s global launch.

“Every hero’s journey begins with a meaningful step. For us, that step starts here in the Philippines,” said Gunn in a global press statement. “This story goes beyond capes and powers—it’s about hope, and there’s no better place to share that message first than with fans who truly embody it.”

From Manila to the world
After igniting excitement in the Philippines, the Superman cast and crew will continue their heroic journey across key cities including Rio de Janeiro, London, Paris, Los Angeles, New York, and Beijing—spanning continents to unite fans under one cinematic banner.

But the Philippines isn’t just the first stop—it’s part of the story. Warner Bros. is teasing a surprise tribute to Filipino fans: a visual spectacle that will illuminate the SM Mall of Asia Globe in Pasay and The Victor statue in Bridgetowne, Pasig at exactly 7:00 PM on May 30. Fans are urged to #LOOKUP—both literally and figuratively.

A new chapter for Superman
This film marks a major milestone: the first theatrical release under the newly formed DC Studios, with James Gunn steering the creative helm. Known for blending heart, humor, and heroism, Gunn is reintroducing Superman with a fresh lens—grounded, modern, and emotionally resonant.

David Corenswet takes flight as Clark Kent/Superman, joined by Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as the iconic villain Lex Luthor. According to early buzz, this Superman isn’t just about saving the world—it’s about understanding it.

Mark your calendars
Superman officially hits Philippine theaters and IMAX screens on July 9, with Warner Bros. Pictures promising an epic experience worthy of the world’s most iconic superhero.

Until then, Manila—and the rest of the world—will be watching the skies.
