SM is giving its rewards ecosystem a fresh boost with a new partnership between SMAC and global online travel platform Trip.com, allowing members to earn points while booking their next getaway.

In a move that strengthens SM’s push to build a more connected lifestyle ecosystem, SMAC members can now earn 1 SMAC Point for every PHP250 spent on hotel and flight bookings made through Trip.com. Points will be credited within 60 working days after the completion of a booking, whether after a hotel stay or a flight.

The latest collaboration adds another layer to SM’s broader strategy of linking retail, banking, property, and lifestyle services into one seamless customer experience, giving members more reasons to stay within the SM network for their everyday and travel needs.

“Through strategic partnerships, both within and beyond the SM Group, we continue to enhance the value proposition for our members,” said Patrick Cua, chief operating officer of SMAC. “This collaboration with Trip.com further expands our travel ecosystem, allowing members to earn rewards while accessing local and global destinations.”

Trip.com, a leading one-stop travel service provider, brings extensive global reach to the partnership. The platform is available in 24 languages across 39 countries and regions, supports 35 local currencies, and offers access to more than 1.5 million hotels and flights from over 640 airlines. It also features more than 300,000 attractions and tour products, covering 3,400 airports in 220 countries and regions worldwide.

To qualify for the rewards, SMAC members must first log in through smac.ph and access Trip.com via the SMAC homepage before completing their booking.

The Trip.com tie-up adds to SMAC’s growing roster of travel and lifestyle partners, which already includes Philippine Airlines’ Mabuhay Miles, AirAsia Rewards, and SM Hotels. Beyond travel, SMAC continues to widen its reach across retail and financial services, including its remittance rewards program with SM Store and BDO.

With the new partnership, SM is reinforcing its goal of making rewards more relevant to the way customers live, shop, and now, travel.
