A new era of road travel is rolling out across the Visayas and Mindanao as Shell Pilipinas Corporation officially partners with the Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC) to elevate provincial transportation. The agreement was signed this August 2025 at Seda Hotel in Bacolod City, marking a milestone collaboration between two powerhouses in their fields.

For decades, YGBC has been the backbone of regional mobility, operating one of the country’s largest and most trusted bus networks. With routes that bridge far-flung communities and bustling cities, YGBC has become synonymous with safe, reliable travel for millions of Filipinos. This new partnership aims to take that commitment even further—by driving operational efficiency and enhancing every journey on the road.

Driving performance and reliability
Under the agreement, Shell will serve as YGBC’s exclusive lubricant solutions provider, powering its massive fleet with Shell Rimula R4 Plus—Shell’s premium heavy-duty diesel engine oil built to deliver stronger engine protection, longer oil life, and better fuel economy.

Backed by Shell’s advanced technology, the Rimula line offers extended oil drain intervals of up to 150,000 kilometers, up to 56% better wear protection, and improved fuel efficiency—benefits that directly lower operational costs and keep buses running smoother, longer, and safer.

But this partnership goes beyond engine oil. Shell will also provide YGBC with a full suite of technical services, offering end-to-end business solutions designed to maximize fleet performance and reliability—cementing YGBC’s status as a trusted name in provincial transport.

Empowering communities, one route at a time
Jacqueline Famorca, General Manager of Shell Lubricants Philippines, said the partnership reflects Shell’s commitment to fueling progress at the grassroots level.

“As one of the country’s most trusted lubricant solutions partners, we at Shell are committed to empowering transport operators like the Yanson Group of Bus Companies to move more people, more safely, and more efficiently,” Famorca shared. “Through our premium engine oils and technical expertise, we aim to strengthen transport accessibility in various communities, while helping business owners optimize their operations and deliver better journeys to the Filipinos.”

By combining Shell’s global expertise with YGBC’s extensive reach, the collaboration promises to keep VisMin’s roads connected and its people moving—safely, reliably, and sustainably.
